In our webshop, we strive to comply with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which officially entered into force on 11 February 2025. We therefore reuse as much packaging material as possible that we ourselves receive through our purchases worldwide.

At BirgitConRes®BV, what truly drives us is the preservation and transmission of intangible cultural heritage. We are deeply committed to safeguarding traditional glass craftsmanship and ensuring that this knowledge continues to thrive for generations to come. That is why we offer a wide range of workshops in different techniques and levels of difficulty. Hobbyists and beginners can learn the craft correctly and safely, guided step by step through the essential skills of working with glass.

To support this mission, we actively invest in a wide range of initiatives designed to strengthen and expand the craft. We maintain an open attitude towards interns from various disciplines, offering them hands-on experience in an authentic workshop environment. Our own team members are continuously trained and guided to grow into master glaziers, ensuring that expertise remains alive within our organisation.

We also welcome international students, creating a space for cultural exchange and mutual learning, and we organise specialisation courses (Learn & Enjoy) for those who want to deepen their knowledge and skills in specific glass techniques.

In addition to our in-house training, Birgit is also a lecturer at Syntra West, where she teaches in the professional glazier and stained-glass curriculum, helping to train the next generation of craftspeople.

At BirgitConRes®BV, we believe in the social dimension of every craft. Craftsmanship is not only about making products, but also about creating meaning, connection, and responsibility within society. That is why we take several specific initiatives that are not driven by profit, but by the desire to be relevant to—and supportive of—the community in which we live and work.

In our new building, we are creating a dedicated Glass & Art Gallery — a vibrant, inspiring space where emerging artists can exhibit their work. The gallery will offer young creators the opportunity to showcase their talent, experiment with new ideas, and connect with a wider audience.

For artists and hobbyists who do not have a workshop at home or cannot invest in their own equipment, we offer Birgit’s Open Workspace — a fully equipped environment where glass enthusiasts can rent space and use professional machinery to develop their projects safely and creatively.

Each year, we also create a small glass item that is offered for sale, with the proceeds supporting a different cause every year. These Glass Keepsakes are more than just beautiful miniature creations—they’re a way to give back. Each piece is handcrafted with care, capturing the artistry and charm of traditional glasswork. They are sold in december. All proceeds from our Glass Keepsakes go to Boven de Wolken, Stan, Geleidehonden, Oranje, …., helping support a meaningful cause while bringing a touch of handmade beauty into your home. By choosing a keepsake, you’re not only taking home a unique piece of glass art—you’re also making a real difference.

At BirgitConRes®BV of course, we do much more with glass. Our gift shop is bursting with creative items—lovely to give and a joy to receive. We use a wide range of techniques, including fusing, slumping, Tiffany, lampworking, and more…

The Glassbee: Under this name, we present all creations that are produced through lampworking. Lampworking, also known as flameworking or torchworking, is a craft in which a burner is used to melt and shape glass (usually in the form of rods) into objects such as beads, figurines, ornaments, and even scientific instruments, using tools and breath. The process involves heating the glass until it becomes molten, after which it is shaped with tools such as tweezers, paddles, and blowpipes (for larger pieces).

The Glass Boutique Collection includes a wide range of gifts, from vases to bowls, from commemorative glass to festive glassware. The series ‘Bruges on a Plate’ and ‘Bruges in Pieces’ are also part of this collection. Everything is designed and made in our own studio.

The Tiffany range in turn, includes a wide variety of decorative objects and lamps made using the Tiffany technique.
